"Photography" is a word derived from the Greek language, meaning simply "Light-Writing," or as I prefer to say "Writing with Light."

I have always enjoyed photography, ever since I was a kid.  I have gone through a succession of cameras over the years, currently sporting a couple of Nikon D-SLR cameras (a D300 and a D90) and associated lenses by Nikon, Sigma and Tokina, ranging in focal length from super-duper wide 10 mm to super-telephoto 500 mm.

People often ask me "what do I like to photograph?"  I say:  "Anything that looks interesting." 
I especially like portraits, events, sports, concerts, travel, cities and architecture.  I also enjoy photographing art and commercial products.

Colorado is a wonderful place to live as a photographer, due to the mountain scenery, abundant sunshine, and access to many great locations,  I have lived in Boulder and Denver, and I know many good shooting locations around both of those cities, including Chautauqua Park and downtown Boulder, and Cheeseman, Washington, Red Rocks, and City Parks in Denver.  There are many other great locations besides.  That's why I like it here.

As a commercial photographer, I have done lots of portraits, events, sports, products, photo journalism, real estate, architecture, and more.  I love it all.  Snap snap grin grin wink wink!
